The 7/6/5/4 foreign player quota will be maintained in 2022. A CSL club could register 6 foreign players  in maximum in the squad, 7 foreign player slots to be used for the season, 5 foreign players could be named in the 18-man squad for a CSL match but only 4 (in maximum)could play.
